A house with a history...and room for new holiday memories.
How Maria Alm became our home
In the early 1960s, my father came to Maria Alm as one of its first ski holidaymakers and fell in love with the village. He bought a plot of land here in 1969. Our house was built in 1971/1972.
Maria Alm was our second home from my birth in 1985. In our family, we affectionately and jokingly called it ‘paradise’.
I took over the house in 2015. Since then, my family and I have continued developing it step by step...with the aim of preserving its character and sharing our love of our house and Maria Alm with our guests.
A house continues to evolve
2016 we invested in solar thermal energy In 2018 followed façade insulation and new balconies. In 2023, we paved the former asphalt driveway and installed a solar power system additionally.
In 2026, the upper floor containing the holiday apartments was completely renovated. We also installed underfloor heating at this time.
Maria Alm has been the centre of our lives since 2018. Today, we are delighted when holiday memories are also made in our house.

Together with my husband and our children, I live here in the house and look forward to welcoming you to Maria Alm.
We are a true globetrotting family. We have seen and experienced a lot on our travels, but our favourite place has always been, and will always be, our home in Maria Alm. We love the mountains, nature and the many ways to enjoy the outdoors: skiing and sledding in winter, and hiking, biking, swimming or trail running in summer. We also greatly appreciate village life and Alpine culture.
Because we live in the house ourselves, we are always happy to share a personal tip or two. Perhaps our Almblick, with its views over Maria Alm, will become a little piece of paradise for you too.
Blue and white, red and white...two colour schemes with a history
The blue-and-white accents in the Blue Apartment recall our family’s Bavarian roots.
In the Red Apartment, red and white reflect our connection to Austria and the Salzburger Land region, where we now live.
Each apartment therefore has its own character ... and both are part of our house and our history.
